How do I make an application?
What is required as part of my application?
A: You will be requested to provide the following supporting documentation:
- Latest academic transcripts and certificates
- Clear photocopy of passport
- English proficiency results e.g. IELTS, Pearson PTE
- Any previous studies in the UK along with copies of all previous CAS and visa pages
Do I need to take an English test, for example, IELTS, Pearson PTE?
A : Only if LBIC Conditional Offer Letter requires you to provide us with an IELTS (or equivalent) English proficiency certificate. Please contact our Admissions Team on firstname.lastname@example.org to enquire further.
What is the admissions process?
A : Once our Admissions Team have received your application, including all the required documentation, they will make an assessment against the entry criteria and provide you with an offer letter. You should receive an update regarding your application within 2 working days. If your results fall below the standard requirements, it can take longer to get a decision, and may be taken to the University Academic Board for approval.
If you receive a conditional offer letter, please provide our Admissions Team with the relevant documents stated on the offer letter, to meet the requirements stated. If you receive an unconditional offer - congratulations, please complete the acceptance form and return it to us. You will also need to make your tuition fee deposit stated on your offer letter. Once we have received payment, we will issue your Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) letter for visa purposes.
When will I receive my CAS / Visa letter?
A : You will first need to receive your unconditional offer letter, once the acceptance form has been completed and the deposit payment made, you will receive your provisional CAS letter.
I have previously studied in the UK - will this affect my application?
A : Yes, if you have studied in the UK previously, our Admissions Team will require a copy of all your previous CAS and copies of your visas. Please contact our Admissions Team on email@example.com to enquire further.
What is LBIC?
A : LBIC is a pathway partnership College of Brunel University London, located on the campus, in West London. LBIC provides international students with alternative pathways to undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes at Brunel University London.
How can I make tuition fee payment?
A : You can pay via bank to bank transfer or online through here. Click here to find our bank details for a bank to bank transfer. Please remember to input your LBIC student ID in there reference box when making the transfer. Our finance team will then know the funds are from you and will allocate the funds to your account. If you have any questions before making payment, please contact us via email on firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on +44 (0) 1895 265 540.

What are the tuition fees?
A : Your tuition fees will be stated in your offer letter. If you are unsure about your fees, you can view our tuition fees page.
Can I make payment in instalments?
A : If you have an offer with us for a foundation or first year course, ou can pay for your tuition fees in two instalments. Your first instalment is paid before you receive your CAS letter for your visa. The second instalment is paid before you start your second semester - you will receive further information from our Student Services Team
When should I arrive in the UK for my studies?
A : You will be emailed by our Student Services Team advising you of the enrolment and orientation dates. Therefore please ensure you have provided us with your personal email address during at your application stage.
What do I need to bring with me for enrolment?
A : Please bring with you all your original documentation you used when making your LBIC application, including your
- Final academic transcripts and certificates
- IELTS (or equivalent, English proficiency results)
- Passport with your UK student visa
- Any other documents requested via email before arriving for enrolment
Can you arrange airport pick up for me please?
A : We offer an airport pickup service which you can book by clicking here. Please note the public transport system for London is TFL. You can plan your journey on their website around London using bus, tube or train. The University is only 20 minutes away from Heathrow airport, where you can take a direct bus to the University.
Where do I need to come for enrolment?
A : You will need to enrol at the University at the Student Centre. Once you have enrolled with the University, you will then need to enrol with LBIC. Please make your way to the Russell Building, located on the Campus. You can find us using the campus map. Click here to view our full address. Remember to check your emails for any updates.
What is involved in the enrolment process?
A : You will be provided with full instructions prior to your arrival. Please keep an eye on your email inbox and the LBIC Facebook & Instagram page for more information. Please expect to spend a few hours enrolling with both, Brunel University London and LBIC to receive your student card and timetable.
What happens if I receive my visa after the enrolment date?
A : Please contact our Admissions Team as soon as possible on email@example.com. You will be able to enrol until the cut-off date and will be given catch up classes. Please make sure you make arrangements to arrive as soon as you have your visa so that we can complete enrolment and you can attend classes as soon as possible.
Where can I find more information about student accommodation?
A : You can view our accommodation page for more information. You will be delighted to know that Brunel offers international students both, on-campus and off-campus accommodation. Upon receipt of your Brunel Student ID you can apply for your on-campus accommodation. You will not require your Brunel Student ID to arrange off-campus accommodation.

Why do I receive two IDs – LBIC ID & Brunel ID?
This is due to two different systems we are using in LBIC. Please note that you will need Brunel ID to apply for accommodation online.
What are the eating and drinking options available on campus?
A : All halls are self-catering if you want to cook for yourself, but there are also many food outlets across campus. From on campus supermarket, cafes and restaurant, there's lot's of options around which offers halal option too. Where can I do my weekly shopping?
A : Uxbridge Town Centre is just a 20-minute walk or short bus-ride from the heart of the campus. The town centre is packed with shops, a multiplex cinema, cheap supermarkets, two shopping malls, dozens of bars and restaurants - all very popular with students! There is also a train station, which you can get the tube to Central London within 40 minutes.
